About Us

Bignold Park is a 30 bed Supported Residential Service (SRS) facility which is registered with the Department of Health and Human Services and family operated by Florentino Health Care Services Pty Ltd who took over in late January 2018. Joining the new management team are the dedicated care staff and chef who has been at Bignold Park for over 10 years.

Meet the Team

Ann

Manager

Ann spearheads Florentino Health Care Services and has dedicated this business to her late father Florentino. Ann works closely with the Personal Care Coordinator and residents. Ann works as a nurse in a metropolitan hospital in Melbourne and is registered with AHPRA. She has been nursing for over 10 years both in surgical setting and in aged care. Ann now primarily works in the acute and transition care setting as well as managing Bignold Park. Ann enjoys travelling, shopping and collecting hand bags and shoes.

Wendy

Personal Care Co-ordinator

Wendy has a background in nursing and has worked in different hospitals around the state. Wendy has been the Personal Care Coordinator at Bignold Park for over 10 years and works directly with the residents focusing on care and assessment. Wendy oversees the overall care for all residents and also works closely with the Manager and Director to develop a holistic care plan. Wendy also works closely with Allied Health professionals, Community Nurses and General Practitioners to ensure continuity of care is provided. Wendy loves to travel, share a good latte or two with friends, a great laugh and a good movie.

Catherine

Accounts Manager

Catherine’s primary role in Bignold Park is to oversee the accounts department as well as advertising and promoting. Catherine comes from a background in Journalism and Disability Care and is also in the process of completing her degree in nursing. Catherine works as a Disability Support Worker as well as manage the accounts at Bignold Park. Catherine loves food, traveling and op shopping. She is best known for completing 1000+ piece jigsaw puzzles.

Sharon

Chef/Personal Care Assistant

Sharon has a background as a qualified chef in hospitals, restaurants and cafes and has previously owned a hotel. Sharon is the Chef at Bignold Park. She oversees seasonal menu planning and oversees the operation of the kitchen as well as inventory of supplies. Sharon also works as a Personal Care Assistant working with the residents. Sharon enjoys hand making soaps, bath bombs, body scrubs and other natural beauty products and regularly features her products at local markets around Bendigo. Sharon enjoys travelling and eating out.

Nandy

Personal Care Assistant

Nandy comes from a nursing and midwifery background specialising in wound care and cardiac care. Nandy has worked around Australia and oversees as a nurse and now works at Bignold Park as a Personal Care Assistant. Apart from being at Bignold Park, Nandy volunteers weekly at Calgully Op Shop and the Post Office Gallery. Nandy loves cats and even has Bendigo’s largest mug collection! You may spot Nandy around town on her tricycle.

Chantelle

Director

Chantelle’s role in Bignold Park is to ensure that the facility meets industry standards and is compliant with the requirements of Bendigo Council and Department of Health and Human Services as well as oversee the human resource department. Chantelle also works in a Private hospital in Melbourne as a medical/surgical nurse primarily focusing on Orthopaedics. Chantelle has in the past managed a Retirement Village for a private company before moving into the clinical setting. Chantelle enjoys travelling overseas, scenic photography and online shopping.

Tonya

Personal Care Assistant/Cook

Tonya has a background in Disability Care and Aged Care and has work across many nursing homes around Bendigo. Tonya also has her certificate in Training and Education and teaches Aged Care in local tafes in and around Bendigo. Tonya is apart of our Personal Care team and also works as our cook mainly on weekends. Tonya enjoys doing activities with residents, arts and crafts as well as trivia.
